Glasgow Underground DJ Mixes

Established in 1997, Glasgow Underground is a house-music institution known for releasing a steady stream of underground and dance-floor-friendly tracks. Initially specialising in deep house, the label expanded its sound to include tech house, techno, Afro-house and nu-disco, while also supporting emerging and niche genres like indie dance and organic house. The driving force behind the music is Scottish DJ/producer Kevin McKay. From Glasgow Underground’s first release (Studio Blue’s “Just a Mood”) to its most successful tracks (“Gimme Gimme”, “Buscando Money”), Kevin has either served as artist or a producer. Simultaneously, he has secured the talents of dance music legends—including Larry Heard, Andy Weatherall, Dixon, DJ Sneak, Kings of Tomorrow, Claptone and CamelPhat—who have contributed to the label’s reputation.
