Africa Express

Over their two decades of work, Africa Express has evolved from a part-time festival project intended to promote African musicians into a multifaceted charity and musical collective with numerous albums to their credit. While the lineup is ever-shifting, the group is anchored by Blur frontman Damon Albarn whose guiding hand keeps the spotlight on cross-cultural collaborations between African and Western musicians. Among their recorded output are diverse releases like 2013's Maison des Jeunes, 2019's Egoli, and 2025's Africa Express Presents… Bahidorá.
